I started playing Oblivion again the other day, I’m only level 3 or 4 at the moment but I thought I would go see Umbra and try and kill her, this is what happened:
Just finished work and now have a full week off, so I’m going to start playing a few games in high settings to see all the detail I have been missing.
My Vapor X card is brilliant, I know I said I was only getting 15 fps with AA turned on at x4 in CoD WaW, but I turned on sync frames and that fixed the lag
I downloaded Lord of the Rings Online the other day too, been playing that while I still have free game time. Its not some thing I would actually pay monthly for though, it seems to be void of any players and lacks any PvP or evil sided characters to pick from. It does deliver a steady story line which you can follow through out your time in Middle Earth, but other than that, I would rather play WoW.
I got my Sapphire 5770 Vapor X today, so I put every setting in CoD: WaW to the max, besides AA, as I only get 15FPS with x4AA, but without it I get 90FPS, so I’am pleased. I can’t even hear he fan when its under full load during a game and temperature at idle is 40C, not sure about the temp when under load, haven’t checked yet.
So its a great mid end card that can play most games on the highest settings without a problem, so if you’re on a budget, get this card.
Well I actually made my mind up and went for the Sapphire HD 5770 Vapor X. This is because the Vapor X series are meant to be the best cards for performance and cooling and I was lucky too, dabs only had 2 in stock and ocUK only had 1, but dabs turned out cheaper

Well its one week till the half term, and with my job I get all the school holidays too! Also I am buying a XFX HD 5770 (possibly) this week, as I get paid on tuesday. I have been using a really old 7600GS since my 8800 died on me.
